The Elephant Festival in Jaipur begins with a procession of elephants, camels and horses , who are followed by lively folk dancers. The elephants, groomed to precision, adorned and decorated in dazzling gold and colors, walk in rows before the spellbound spectators. The events and activities at the Elephant Festival includes races, the game of polo( which is a recent addition) and participation in the spring festival, Holi. Another interesting event is the tug of war between the elephants and the men.
