History
History says that Ajmer took her shape in seventeenth century by Ajaipal Chauhan who first made a fort and named the place and the fort as Ajaimeru.
India's first hill fort Taragarh was built in the outskirts of Ajmer. Ajmer experienced various historical turmoils and finally after the accession of Akbar the Great , he controlled the place and made it an eminent place of controlling power in Rajasthan.
In the year 1659 a battle between Aurangazeb and Dara ruined various parts of the fort. And in 1818 it remained under the care of British superintendents. And finally in the year 1947 Ajmer got her recognition as Rajasthan's part.
