The Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary in the world has got one of the finest collections of rare birds and different species and can be truly considered the paradise of feathers. It is also known as the Keoladeo Ghana National park , this sanctuary is the home to about more than 300 species of migratory birds, water birds and various other varieties. It is an enormous area of marshes and scrublands. The name Keoladeo Ghana comes from the Hindu Temple, in the middle of the forest, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

These birds include Cranes, Pelicans, Eagles, Hawks, Shanks, Wagtails, Warblers, Larks and Flycatchers. This park has well defines trekking routes where you can travel either by foot, or cycle or hired rickshaw.
