Day 01: Hyderabad
Early Morning Arrival. Transfer to your hotel followed by Orientation Tour of Hyderabad
Afternoon visit Anandha Vihara the majestic modern Temple, dedicated to Lord Buddha and inaugurated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama himself. Later visit the Grand Monolith Statue of Lord Buddha at Buddha Purnima. Stay overnight in Hyderabad.
Day 02: Nagarjuna Sagar (150 Km)
Depart by surface to Nagarjuna Sagar. Visit Anupu the Amphitheatre, Viharas, Chaityas and the other impressive Buddhist remains. Stay overnight at Hotel Ponnami Vihar in Nagarjuna Sagar.
Day 03: Nagarjuna Sagar
Excursion by Boat to visit the Serene Nagarjuna Konda Island Museum. Overnight stay at Hotel Ponnami Vihar at Nagarjuna Sagar. Stay overnight at Hotel Ponnami Vihar in Nagarjuna Sagar.
Day 04: Guntur 180 Kms
Depart by road for Guntur. Enroute we visit the Amaravati mahastupa and museum. Also see the ancient Amralingeshwara Temple. Stay overnight at Hotel Vajram Residency Guntur.
Day 05: Vijaywada (50 Kms)
Morning depart by road for Vijaywada. Enroute we visit Ghantasala, a small village with the remains of a large stupa with beautiful sculptures of Buddhist Mythological Stories. Also a
small but impressive museum of Buddhist statutes and art. Stay overnight at Vijaywada.
Day 06: Vijaywada
Morning, Visit the Neelamkondapalli and Jagayapeta Stupas with inscriptions of the Mauryan era.
Afternoon, we visit the beautiful Undavalli Caves. Stay overnight in Vijaywada.
Day 07: Visakapatnam (450 Kms)
Depart by road for Visakapatnam. Enroute visit Guntupalli famous for rock cut caves on the hillside with over a dozen stupas, viharas and chaityas. Also note the impressive 6 Ft Marble statues of Lord Buddha. Stay overnight in Visakapatnam.
Day 08: Visakapatnam
Morning, visit Sankaram, known for numerous rows of Monolithic Stupas with expressive images of Lord Buddha.
Afternoon, we visit Salihudam - an interesting Swastika shaped entrance with a 46 Ft Diametre
Stupa & Buddhist Platforms. it was from here that Buddhism spread to Far eastern Countries.
Stay overnight in Visakapatnam.
Day 09: Visakapatnam
Morning visit to Bavikonda, an ancient Buddhist Site with the relics of the Holy Buddha, a Mahachaitya containing silver and gold relic caskets, besides a large vihara complex and stupas. Later we visit ThotlaKonda, known for viharas / chaityagrihas and stupas with stuccos dating to
The 3rd Century AD.
Afternoon we visit Pavuralakonda for the Monastic remains and the 14 Rock cisterns used by Monks for rainwater. Stay overnight in Visakapatnam.
Day 10: Departure
