Day 01 : DELHI
Arrive Delhi. Meeting and transfer to hotel (Check-in time 12 noon). Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 02 : DELHI/LEH
In time transfer to airport to board flight for Leh. Arrive and transfer by Jeep/car to hotel.
Lunch at hotel. Rest of the day free for acclimatization. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 03 : LEH
Morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour the Shankar Gompa which has innumerable statues of pure gold and a number of interesting paintings. Also visit the Leh Palace. Drive to the Spituk Monastry, which contains a large collection of tankas and old masks. Thereafter, visit Phyang Monastry and return to the hotel. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon free. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 04 : LEH
Morning after breakfast depart by Jeep/Car for a full day excursion to Shey, Thiksey and Hemis with box lunch. Shey was once the residence of the royal family and is famous for its 7.5 meter high gilded statue of Buddha. Thiksey is one of the largest and most impressive monasteries famous for its various images, stupas and exquisite wall paintings. It also houses a two-storeyed statue of Buddha. Hemis, the biggest and richest of them all is well known for its festival in summer. Return to the hotel in Leh. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 05 : LEH
Morning after breakfast, depart by Jeep/Car for a full day excursion to Alchi. Seventy Kilometres from Leh, on river Indus, is Alchi Gompa dating a thousand years back. One of the walls feature thousands of miniature-sized pictures of the Buddha. Three large sized images of clay and painted brightly are its focal attractions. It is no longer an active religious centre and is booked after by monks from the Likir monastry. Dinner and overnight at hotel
DAY 06 : LEH
Morning after breakfast time free to explore the Leh town on your own. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon free. Evening visit to a Ladakhi home. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 07 : LEH/MERU
After an early breakfast depart for Meru, the first night camp on the way to Manali.
After lunch a stroll to the small village of Meru. Dinner and overnight at camp.
DAY 08 : MERU/TANGLANGLA/SARCHU
Morning after breakfast, depart for Tanglangla pass (5328 mts), the highest road pass in world. Lunch enroute after the pass near a fresh water stream. Thereafter, proceed to Sarchu. Arrive, dinner and overnight at camp.
DAY 09 : SARCHU/BARALACHA/DARCHA
After an early breakfast drive to Baralacha. The gradual ascent to Baralacha pass is covered with perennial snow. The descent (1000 mts) top other side if faily steep but thrilling. Lunch near an open valley by the Bhaga river. Continue to camp near the confluence of three rivers at Darcha or at Jispa 5 Kms beyound Darcha. Dinner and overnight at camp.
DAY 10 : DARCHA/ROHTANG/MANALI
Morning after breakfast depart for Manali. You come across a gradual change in the landscape, the physiognomy and attire of the inhabitants. Before starting the drive up a brief stop at Koksar checkpost. After the passport formalities proceed to Rohtang pass which presents a romantic setting with the ever billowing mists and wisps of clouds hovering the pass. Drive straight to Manali. Arrive and check in at hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 11 : MANALI/DHARAMSALA
After an early breakfast depart for Dharamsala, a small beautiful township, headquarters of his holiness the Dalai Lama. En route lunch. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 12 : DHARAMSALA
Morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing visiting Talnu View Point near Naddi village which is one of the convenient spots for admiring the raw grandneur of Dhauladhar mountains. The Buddhist monastry at Mcleodgang and Bhagsunag Temple about 2 kms away are important religious sites and the Kanga Art Museum. Lunch at hotel. Rest of the day free. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
DAY 13 : DHARAMSALA/DELHI
In time transfer to Gaggal airport (14 Kms) to board flight for Delhi (Subject to operation).
Arrive Delhi and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free. Overnight stay at hotel. Alternate transfer to Pathankot (90 Kms) to board overnight train for Delhi.
DAY 14 : DELHI
Morning combined city tour of Old and New Delhi. In Old Delhi visit Red Fort, Jama Masjid: India's largest mosque, Raj Ghat: memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, drive past Chandni Chowk. In New Delhi visit Qutab Minar:234 feet high tower, nearby stands the Iron pillar, Tomb of Mughal Emperor Humayun, the modern Birla Mandir Temple. Drive past India Gate (War Memorial), President's House, which was once the Viceroy's Palace, Parliament House and Secretarial Buildings. Rest of the day free. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 15 : DEPART DELHI
In time transfer to International airport to board flight for onward destination.
