Gorgeous sceneries, spectacular landscapes and towering peaks describe Malawi. For nature lovers; there are national parks, game reserves, mountain hiking and plateau trekking. Lilongwe is the newly developed, politically and administratively adorned capital city of Malawi. Ideal for shopping, it has many shopping malls and centers for the tourists visiting Lilongwe. The other tourist centers are the Nature Sanctuary, the Lingadzi River, which is mainly a crocodile reserve. There are also several mammals, hyenas, leopards and tigers.
Liwonde is the best national park in the country surrounded by the Lake Malombe and the Shire River. Thousands of hippos and crocodiles, herds of elephants, several species of antelope and rhinos are there. Mount Mulanje with its stunning sceneries and towering peaks makes up a perfect tourist destination for hiking and trekking. Nkhata Bay is the most popular and beautiful lakeside town that has earned for it the sobriquet 'Caribbeanesque' given by the travellers. The place also provides a haven for the wide variety of bird species on account of the adjacent Kalwe Forest. Overall, a bird watching paradise for all the visitors especially nature and bird lovers.
