Introduction to Rashtrapati Bhavan
Rashtrapati Bhavan of India is the house of President of India; the bhavan. The mansion was built during the days of British Empire. The mansion was occupied by the Indians after the freedom in 1947. The first viceroy of India occupied and stayed in the few rooms of the building which are now transformed in to the living rooms of the viceroy. Apart from President of India this Bhavan also have quarters of other officials of Indian ministry.
History of Rashtrapati Bhavan
The present Rashtrapati Bhavan was at once the mansion of British officials. The building was built by British architect Edwin Landseer Lutyens. The decision of building the tower was taken in the tear 1911 when the British Raj decided to shift their capital to Delhi from Calcutta. The huge mansion was built for all the official works of the British Empire in India. There are lots of Indian contractors but unfortunately their names were never registered in the biography of the mansion. It took seventeen years to complete the historic mansion.

Long seventeen years to take its shape and so there are thousands of labors hard work involved to build this wonderful historical palatial mansion. The mansion was built by a British architecture. The house was build with stone and the special architecture will save the palace from sunrays, monsoon and other natural calamities. The dome shaped roof will make the building distinct from the distance. The Chhajjas, Jaalis and Chhatris are the distinct feature of the bhavan. The geometrical pattern, the floral prints and the colorful art has made the Bhavan a remarkable one.
