History of Jal Mahal

Built in 1799 by Sawai Pratap Singh, Jal Mahal is a popular tourist spot. It was built by constructing a dam between two hills. Sawai Pratap Singh built this palace for the royal family as a place of leisure and especially for royal duck shooting parties.

Description of Jal Mahal

Set in the midst of the Man Sagar Lake, the palace is known for its intricate artistry and architecture. The four floors of the building are four floors of the building are permanently under water.
