Gadi Sagar Lake is a beautiful lake of Jaisalmer which is the main source of water for the city of Jaisalmer. It is a man made reservoir of water made by the founder, Raja Rawal Jaisal. It was later the lake was reconstructed and beautified by Maharaja Garisisar Singh.

Gadi Sagar Lake is serene and placid lake fringed with magnificent temples and shrines. It is a rainwater lake built to bring respite to the parched land of Jaisalmer. Its scenic beauty is well known and is visited by many. Gadi Sagar is located to the south of the city. A grand archway entrance intricately designed in yellow sandstone known as the Tilon-Ki-Pol has to be crossed to approach the placid lake.

Temples, engraved chattris, shrines surround the lake. Migratory birds stop by the lake during the winter months. Tourists enjoy the serenity of the place. Boat rides are offered and you can avail it to watch the magical reflection of the shrines. Sitting on its bank gives a panoramic view of the setting sun. The annual functions of the Gangaur festival unleash it to life. One enjoys a breathtaking view of the Jaisalmer fort from the serene Gadi Sagar Lake
